Tree in a pot. Maybe it’s more of a plant? Nah, don’t think so.
For some reason I really enjoy making pixel art, and I’m not exactly sure why. In a way it’s very soothing. You sit there and you fill your little squares with color, without a care in the world. Perhaps it’s the sensation of contributing to something bigger that makes it so appealing to me. All the little squares come together and form a larger design. What fascinates me though, is that even very low resolution pictures can be varied and created in so many ways. A picture with only a few squares can still express vast ideas, despite it’s limitation in detail. I think that is what gets your imagination into gear. The picture with the tree is not exactly high-res, but even so, you can still see that it’s a tree. You can see the leaves and a branch. You may even perceive it as a certain kind of tree, due to the shape and form. Now I can tell you right now that it is not modeled after any real tree in particular. It’s simply a product of my mind. But my point is that it doesn’t matter. You would probably still imagine something if you were to see a picture with even fewer squares, and that’s pretty cool. :)
